Following the overwhelming success of its direct scheduled flights from Manchester to Tel Aviv, Jet2.com, the leading friendly low-fare airline, has announced that it will be doubling the service from March 2010.
Jet2.com will be increasing its flights to twice-weekly from Manchester to the cosmopolitan city of Tel Aviv from 22 March 2010, departing Mondays and Thursdays. Due to phenomenal customer demand, Jet2.com has also increased the frequency of its flights during December 2009 to tie-in with the busy Jewish holiday period of Hanukkah, known as the Festival of Lights.
Since starting the Tel Aviv route in May 2009, over 10,000 passengers have opted for Jet2.com’s service out of Manchester, making Jet2.com the only airline to offer this service from the North of England.
Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com said: “We’re obviously delighted with the success of our Tel Aviv flights and thrilled with the great feedback that’s been received since we started the route in May this year. Because of this response, we’re happy to announce that we’re extending our Tel Aviv service to twice weekly from March 2010 giving our passengers more choice and flexibility when they travel.
“Key to our success is the fact that we listen to what our passengers want and adjust to their needs and demands. Our Tel Aviv schedule and flight times are carefully planned in order to ensure that passengers get the most out of their trip and we fly at the best times for our customers.”
Andrew Harrison, Manchester Airport’s Commercial Director said: “Since starting operations from Manchester airport in 2005, Jet2.com has gone from strength to strength establishing the airline as a popular operator with both leisure and business passengers. By increasing flights to Tel Aviv, this gives a greater choice for passengers to this increasingly popular destination during the winter period and into 2010.”
Tel Aviv is recommended by the airline as a flourishing cosmopolitan holiday destination offering long sandy beaches, a great nightlife scene, cafe culture and an historic old town with museums, galleries and theatres.
