Bahrain’s top government vet Dr Salman Abdulnabi acknowledged there was a problem. “We try to follow all regulations given to us.”
A Gulf Air spokesman denied culpability. “Gulf Air strictly adheres to all IATA and government regulations involving the transportation of live animals.”
Meanwhile, the upset vet said the dogs have caused a distemper epidemic in Bahrain.
