Jetstar Asia has announced a new service from Singapore to Southwest China with direct flights from Guiyang on sale from today.
From 14 December, Jetstar Asia will operate two services per week from Singapore to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. The new services will be operated by Jetstar Asia’s 180-seat Airbus A320.
The city is home to a population of 4.6 million and a popular tourist destination for its subtropical climate and natural landscapes. It is home to three natural heritage sites including the largest waterfall in Asia and two of the largest limestone caves in China.
Jetstar Asia CEO Bara Pasupathi said: “Jetstar Asia is proud to launch direct services from Singapore to the beautiful city of Guiyang, reducing the total travel time by half, to just four hours.
“This demonstrates our commitment to our passengers in not only making air travel more accessible but introducing new initiatives that will maximise our passengers’ holiday experience.
“As the railway hub of Southwest China, travellers to Guiyang will not only have direct access to one of the most beautiful but previously more remote sites in China but will be instantly connected to North, East and South China via rail at the same time.”
