WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ — Low fares airline Jetstar has launched a new partnership with Universal Air Travel Plan, Inc. (UATP) which will allow corporate travelers to purchase their fares with any UATP issued card, one of the most widely-used and popular card payment options for corporate travel buyers.
Jetstar Executive Manager Commercial David Koczkar said the airline had introduced the new initiative in direct response to feedback gathered from business travelers and large organizations traveling throughout the Jetstar network of more than 50 destinations.
“We recognize the demand for UATP acceptance and have sought to implement in order to attract and expand our growing corporate client base even further,” Mr. Koczkar said.
Jetstar Airways and all its subsidiaries (Jetstar Asia, Valuair, Jetstar Pacific Airlines) are Merchants of the UATP Network effective immediately. Jetstar is the region’s leading low fares airline with more than 50 destinations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United States.
“UATP demand in the region has driven significant growth to the Network throughout Asia-Pacific and Jetstar becoming a Merchant is an intelligent strategic move that will significantly boost corporate sales for Jetstar,” said Ralph Kaiser, president and CEO, UATP. “We will continue to provide our client-base with all the necessary options needed for their corporate travel programs.”
