John McEwan appointed new ABTA chairman

Advantage boss John McEwan has been appointed Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) Chairman after winning the hard-fought election.
The consortium chief executive won the vote by 54%, beating his only challenger, Britaly Travel director Daniele Broccoli at 46%.
John McEwan said “I am delighted to be elected as ABTA Chairman. It was a very public and lively election and I would like to congratulate Daniele for his contribution towards it.
