The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai recently released its 2015 half year sales results. As per the statistics, the hotel experienced an inventory increase of 51% across its 1608 rooms.
JW Marriott Marquis Dubai general manager, Bill Keffer said: “Supply is up by 6.2% for the city, while overall demand has grown only by 2.5%. This is stark in contrast to our hotel, which has witnessed an increase in demand of more than 40%. As a result, we have continued to drive room revenues by 21%.”
Throughout 2015, the sales drive will be further bolstered by the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai sales team. The team is set to perform over 60 international sales trips across 26 different countries this year.
“We consider this approach to be working extremely well given the hotel is already poised to exceed last year’s group bookings by 21%, and with 30% of next year’s groups already booked. Growth in excess of 50% year-on-year is coming from source markets like the US, UK, India and France. China and South America are also emerging as a strong market,” added Keffer.
