Kenya’s Karura Forest is to be opened to the public this weekend, its tourist board has revealed. The Kenya Tourist Board has teamed up with Kenya Forest Service to ensure the area has enough access and signs for visitors ahead of its launch on 26 February. “Kenya Tourist Board has provided significant sponsorship in the form of services and financial support to ensure this is a huge success and all parties benefit,” said Muriithi Ndegwa, managing director of the Kenya Tourist Board. Attractions in the park include the Mau Mau caves, waterfalls, picnic sites and nature trails. It will be marketed as part of the Nairobi tourism circuit.
