The south Indian state of Kerala is to host an international meet on responsible tourism - the first time it will be held in India. The four-day meet begins in Kochi on Friday as a follow-up of the first Responsible Tourism Conference held in Cape Town in 2002.
State Tourism Secretary V. Venu said: “It is a recognition for the enormous progress made by the tourism industry in Kerala.”
Some 400 delegates from 20 countries are expected at the conference.
