Kingfisher gets green light for international routes

Kingfisher has received approval to operate Mumbai-London,Kolkata-Dhaka, Kolkata-Chittagong, Mumbai-Hong Kong, Mumbai-Singapore,Chennai-Colombo, Bengaluru-Colombo, Bengaluru-Bangkok and Mumbai-Bangkokflights, an airline spokesperson was reported saying.
“The time frame for launch of these services will beannounced progressively,” he added.
He did not schedule and frequency for the new routes wasnot specified, with the spokesperson only saying that “the details are beingworked out”, the report said.
Kingfisher currently operates one international route - itsdaily services between Bengaluru and London.The launch of flights on the key sectors from Mumbai to Londonand Singapore would directlycompete with state-owned Air India.
