KLIA Aerotrains to resume service

The Aerotrains connecting the main terminal building and the satellite buildings at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will be restart next Wednesday, having been closed since November last year.
The construction of the new line and the addition of the new three- carriage Aerotrains was completed yesterday, according to the airport’s operator, Malaysia Airports Bhd (MAHB). The new Aerotrains are currently undergoing tests and are expected by be put into service on 23 March 2011.
The airport’s shuttle buses will continue to be in operations as a backup to the Aerotrains system until end of March. MAHB said that the temporary closure of the Aerotrains is part of the overall project that due for full completion in July 2011.
