Indian expatriates in the Gulf states have expressed fears that the “Users’ Fee” at Kochi International Airport may be re-introduced. The Gulf News has reported that the All India Airport User’s Forum (AIAUF) is planning to start a campaign against the proposed move to re-introduce the fee.
The users’ fee was scrapped in January 2006 after a prolonged legal fight and protests by Indian expatriates.
