Kochi to get new international terminal

A new international terminal will be built at Cochin International Airport at a cost of US$79.1 million (INR400 crore), Oommen Chandy, Chief Minister of Kerala, has announced. According to the proposal given by the Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL), the state-of-the-art new international terminal will be capable of handling 10 million passengers per annum with a peak hour capacity of 4,000 passengers. The planned terminal will be constructed in a phased manner, and will include a total of 40 parking bays. The first phase will have 16 parking bays with full aerobridge connectivity.
