KPMG Golf Business Forum has announced it will hold its annual event in Abu Dhabi next year.
The 11th edition of the forum will include packages with Etihad Airways, The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa with rounds of golf at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Yas Links Abu Dhabi.
It comes as the emirate aims to boost its golf tourism numbers, although it is feeling the pressure of following hosts St Andrews this year.
“The magnitude of succeeding the game’s ancestral home is not lost on us,” said Chris Card, group general manager at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.
“KPMG’s selection of Abu Dhabi underlines the progress the emirate has made with its golf tourism strategy and its position as a preferred destination in the global golf tourism market,” he added.
