Langham Hospitality Group has announced the opening of the Langham Hefei, marking another milestone for the group’s continued expansion in China.
Hefei is the capital and largest city of Anhui Province in China, known for its rich history and multicultural influences. Located in the city’s new administration and cultural centre, The Langham, Hefei is in the heart of the business, shopping and entertainment districts.
“We are honoured to bring our luxury brand to Hefei and introduce The Langham’s renowned experiences like our excellent Chinese cuisine, Michelin starred restaurant, T’ang Court and elegant Afternoon Tea to our guests and the local community in Anhui,” said Stefan Leser, chief executive officer, Langham Hospitality Group.
Designed by Bilkey Llinas Design, the 339 guestrooms and suites have panoramic views over the city and interiors with a warm colour palette.
Ranging from 45 square metres for the Deluxe Room to 247 square metres for the Presidential Suite, stays at The Langham, Hefei are billed as ‘the epitome of luxury’.

“We are delighted to partner with Langham Hospitality Group to bring the legendary hospitality and heritage of Europe’s first grand hotel and impeccable service to Hefei,” says Zhou Qi, chairman of Anhui Land.
The hotel’s Grand Ballroom spans 1,380 sqm and can accommodate up to 910 guests. Individual meeting and function rooms range from 33 up to 450 sqm and each room can be configured for smaller gatherings, business meetings or private celebrations.
The hotel offers four dining concepts: Seasons, an all-day restaurant, offers a buffet selection and à la carte menu featuring international cuisine; T’ang Court presents signature Cantonese dishes from Michelin-starred namesake restaurants in Hong Kong and Shanghai; The Bar offers wines, spirits and cocktails; and lobby lounge Palm Court, overlooking the courtyard garden, serves afternoon tea.
A mid-day indulgence first served at The Langham, London since 1865, specialty teas, delicate savoury and sweet pastries will be served in “Langham Rose” Wedgwood china specially created for The Langham hotels globally.
Chuan Spa will also feature at The Langham, Hefei. The spa and wellness brand will focus on holistic treatments through integrating the principles of traditional Chinese medicine using the five elemental forces of wood, fire, earth, metal and water to relax and invigorate the body, mind and soul.
The hotel also boasts of state-of-the-art fitness facilities at the health club and a 25.8 metre swimming pool so guests can continue with their fitness regime during their travels.
