Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Le Meridien Koh Samui Resort & Spa will open its doors on 30 September 2011. Located on Lamai Beach, the new boutique-style resort will offer 77 suites and villas designed in the image of a traditional Asian seaside village. The resort will also feature three F&B outlets and a 224-metre floating dock that leads to a unique ocean swimming pool.
“Our offering is unique to the island – a boutique hotel with a focus on contemporary art, a multi-cultural ambience and outstanding cuisine,” said Wayne Buckingham, Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ regional vice president of Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia.
All rooms, including the 63 suites and 14 stand-alone villas, feature Wi-Fi, LCD TVs and iPod docking station. Some of the Ocean Front Pool Villas and Pavilion Pool villas also come with their own private plunge pools and dining pavilions.
