Lion Air signs ATR deal

Indonesian carrier Lion Air has agreed deal with planemaker ATR to buy 10 ATR 72-500 aircraft, with a further option to buy 10 more. The deal, announced at the Indodefence Air Show in Jakarta, is valued at more than US$380 million.
The 72-seat aircraft will be operated by Lion Air’s subsidiary, Wings Air, with deliveries will start in 2009.
