Loews Hotels steps up trade initiatives

Loews Hotels & Resorts has boosted its trade marketing following increased representation from Travel a la Carte and KBC PR and Marketing. Travel a la Carte’s Tom Armstrong told Travel Daily that the companies were happy with its wholesaler approach but wanted ‘to make more noise’ about the brand. “We’ll be going on the road to train operators, although agents still have access to the bedbank as all the hotels are available online through wholesalers.” He added that agents would inevitably receive training as “the line between operators and agents has merged quite a bit.” In addition, plans are being put together for a series of fam trips and a sales mission will be launched in 2011.
