LTU International Airlines, part of the Air Berlin Group, will increase flight capacity between Thailand and Germany by 27% next month in response to strong high-season travel demand, the Bangkok Post has reported.
The German carrier is confident about increasing its total frequency from 11 to 14 flights a week despite discretionary travel being hit by the global financial crisis and Thailand’s political unrest.
Effective 1 November, LTU’s Bangkok-Dusseldorf frequencies will be increased from four to five flights a week and Phuket-Munich from one to four. Bangkok-Munich remains unchanged at three while Bangkok-Berlin will be reduced from three to two.
