A computer glitch forced worldwide flight delays and European cancellations on Wednesday at the leading German airline Lufthansa. “A problem in our check-in system occurred around 04:00 a.m. (0200 GMT),” said an airline representative. Passenger check-in had to be done manually, causing delays of up to an hour, although Internet check-in was not affected by the problem.
