Lufthansa is adding 9.1% more available seat capacity for its upcoming winter schedules. The German national carrier will offer 12,218 weekly services - a 3.5% increase from the 11,803 offered during the 2009-10 winter schedules - to 197 destinations in 85 countries. Much of the growth in seat capacity is due to the addition of the airline’s new Airbus A380 aircraft, four of which will be operational this winter. The airline is adding three new destinations; Luxembourg, Bogota and Pointe Noire, in the Republic of Congo.
