Macau was a major highlight of the Lisbon Travel Market, PATA has reported. As the ‘International Guest Destination’ of the fair, a delegation headed by Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) Director, Joao Manuel Costa Antunes, had a significant presence at the fair. One highlight was the appearance on the Macau stand of Miss Macau 2008.
Macau was participating jointly with four other destinations from the Pan-Pearl River Delta region, namely Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Sichuan. All four were represented on the Macau booth. MGTO has established Portugal as one of the priority source markets for 2009, as this year is the 10th anniversary of the Macau SAR.
