Mahan Air has announced a series of new flights to destinations in East Asia. The Iranian carrier will commence twice weekly scheduled flights between Tehran and Shanghai’s Pudong airport from 2 September 2011, and also plans to add two extra weekly services from the Iranian capital to Bangkok. The new services, which start on 6 October, will take the total frequency to the Thai capital to nine weekly flights.
The latest expansion announcement follows the launch of Mahan’s direct services between Mashhad and Kuala Lumpur in July 2011. This week the airline also added one extra weekly service between Tehran and Phuket.
