Mahan Air sees record growth in 2010

Iran’s Mahan Air experienced record growth in 2010. The airline carried 3.8 million passengers – 47% more than 2009 - and expanded its capacity by 31% in terms of available seat kilometres. Load factor averaged 75%. The Mahan Air fleet grew to 32 aircraft during the year following the delivery of seven additional Airbus A300-600 aircraft, which allowed the carrier to launch new flights to Kuala Lumpur, Almaty and Phuket, as well as adding capacity to Bangkok.
