Mahan Air to launch Almaty flights

Mahan Air will begin thrice weekly service between Tehran and Almaty in Kazakhstan, starting 16 June 2010. Mahan will fly the route with 196 seat Airbus A-310 aircraft in two-class configuration. The inaugural departure, flight 5027, will depart Tehran IKA airport at 13:00 on Wednesday 16 June 2010 arriving in Almaty airport at 18:00 , a flight lasting approximately 3 hours 15 minutes. The first departure from Almaty, flight 5028, will depart at 0130 on Thursday 17 June 2010 and arrive in Tehran IKA airport at 03:30 , a flight lasting approximately 3 hours, 31 minutes . All times are local.
Almaty will be the 15th international destination served by Mahan from its Tehran hub. The new service is intending to provide convenient and immediate connections to many of Mahan Air international destinations such as Dubai, Istanbul and Dusseldorf.
