Maharajas’ Express first super-luxury train unveiled

The Maharajas’ Express, India’s first interstate super-luxury train, has been unveiled. The joint-venture between Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), and Cox and Kings India Ltd (CKIL), will boats 23 coaches with a passenger capacity of 82.
The train will include two fine dining restaurants, a bar and observation lounge, as well as exotic bar, and observation lounge as well as state-of-the-art pneumatic and hydraulic suspension, climate-controlled cabins and environment friendly toilet system.
The Maharajas’ Express will become the first Indian luxury train to cross state boundaries when it embarks on its first commercial run on 9 January, 2010.
