Malaysia Airports profits rise

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) reported a pre-tax profit of MYR133 million (US$44 million) for the first quarter of 2011, up 11.1% from MYR120 million it registered in the same quarter last year. The company, which operates 20 airports across Malaysia including Kuala Lumpur International Airport, achieved the result following a 22.5% jump in quarterly revenues, which reached MYR610 million.
