Mandarin Oriental will launch its first hotel in Taipei in the second quarter of this year.
Located on the main Dunhua North Road, in the centre of Taiwan’s capital, the Mandarin Oriental Taipei will offer 256 rooms and 47 suites, ranging in size from 55-400m².
The luxury hotel will also include French, Chinese and Italian restaurants, a bar, lounge and a Mandarin Cake Shop, plus a spa with 12 treatment rooms, a fitness centre and a heated outdoor swimming pool.
Mandarin Oriental Taipei will also be a major MICE hotel, offering two ballrooms, five function rooms and a Grand Salon on the eighth floor which is designed for wedding ceremonies, product launches and other events. There will also be a private garden for weddings, while the Chairman’s Residence will offer a separate residential event space with a selection of meeting rooms, reception areas, outdoor terraces and a kitchen.
The new property will become the eighth Mandarin Oriental in Greater China, following existing properties in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sanya, Macau and Guangzhou.
