Subang (10 September 2009) : Malaysia Airlines has expanded its tele-payment facility by accepting Diners International charge card for customers who transact in Ringgit Malaysia through the Reservations Toll Free Number 1 300 88 3000.
This facility is made possible by Diners International Malaysia which installed 5 Electronic Data Capture (EDC) terminals at Kuala Lumpur Call Centre and 3 EDC terminals at Kuching Call Centre.
Both Call Centres can also perform ticketing transactions for overflowed calls from Singapore, America, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Senior General Manager (Network & Revenue Management), Dr Amin Khan said, “This facility provides convenience to our customers residing in these countries when they purchase their ticket over the phone. This enhancement is yet another initiative of Malaysia Airlines in line with our vision to be the World’s Five Star Value Carrier, offering high quality products & services at affordable prices.”
This enhancement is currently available for all existing services available through Malaysia Airlines Call Centre, except those related to Enrich, Customer Feedback and Mishandled Baggage Status.
Malaysia Airlines launched its Kuala Lumpur and Kuching Call Centres in November 2001 with the introduction of its 24-Hour toll free reservations number 1-300-88-3000 which handles calls from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Apart from making bookings, customers can also make credit card payments through the Call Centres for their air ticket purchases.
