McEwan joins Holidaysplease

Ex-ABTA chairman and Advantage boss John McEwan is to become chairman of luxury travel agent Holidaysplease.
McEwan will take up the role later this month after the online agent announced a 30% increase in sales for the first five months of this year.
The agent also has plans to acquire other agencies in its growth plans.
Discussing his decision to join the company, McEwan said: “They [Holidaysplease] have created a fantastic team, technology platform and customer base. I believe the company has the potential to go far and I intend to help them achieve significant growth. I am really pleased that this is my first new directorship following my retirement from ABTA and Advantage.”F
Charles Duncombe, a director at the agency added: “We are thrilled that John will be joining us. People with John’s experience and abilities are extremely rare and we can’t wait for his help in fulfilling our expansion plans.”
