Mercury Direct Holidays, owned by Sunspot Tours, is to start selling its holidays through travel agents. The operator has already signed numerous travel partners and secured a commercial agreement with a ‘major multiple’. Mercury Direct will offer 10% commission and has recently employed seven Field Sales Managers to visit interested agents. “We did some testing last year with a number of travel agents groups around the UK and because of the very positive sales results we achieved, we decided that the time had come to roll out the programme generally to the trade,” said Mercury Direct’s National Agency Sales Manager Richard Greenaway. Destinations featured with the operator include Malta, Cyprus, Algarve, Costa del Sol, The Greek Islands, Madeira, Tenerife, Australia, Bali, Cuba, Kerala, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Thailand. To register your interest, email holidays@mercurydirect.com or call Richard Greenaway on 01580 714515.
