The Midcounties Co-operative Travel has become the first travel agent in the UK to be awarded The Institute of Customer Service’s (ICS) ServiceMark accreditation.
ServiceMark is a national standard recognising commitment to and achievement in customer service and is awarded by the ICS, the independent, professional membership body for customer service.
ICS experts carried out a three-day assessment of Co-operative Travel’s customer service operations, which included interviews with 37 colleagues during visits to its Walsall head office and branches, as well as an appraisal of customer feedback.
The business was singled out for going ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty to provide its customers with outstanding service. Assessors also highlighted colleagues’ commitment to resolving issues at the first point of contact, providing unbiased, independent advice and seeking to find the best price for their customers.
Natalie Turner, head of branches at The Midcounties Co-operative Travel, said: “The accreditation is fantastic news and is a reflection of all the hard work our colleagues do each day for our customers. We’re committed to treating each customer individually and making sure they have the best possible experience, as well as finding new and innovative ways to enhance this experience.”
