2010 sees the anticipated launch of Mind Body Boot Camp.
Created by BBC TV’s Chris Crudelli, this Kent-based fitness retreat offers week-long residential retreats which help you lose weight from your body and ease weight off your mind. Chris has poured in all of his knowledge and experience of the very best fitness training and health enhancing techniques from all around the world, so a stay here may see you kicking ass when you get home!
Who are we?
The Mind, Body Boot Camp was dreamed up by Chris Crudelli, writer and presenter of the international smash hit BBC TV series, “Mind, Body & Kick Ass Moves”. As a martial artist, Chris has been engaged from a young age in all sorts of training styles and exercise regimes. He travelled around the world picking up tips, tricks and ancient training techniques from the most famous masters, so he knows what works - he literally wrote the book on it.
As a result of this, Chris and his team have taught police organisations and military personnel all around the world, including the Elite Marine Corps. In the UK, they train members of the Ministry of Defence and Special Forces - the best of the best. And that’s what we’re offering you. At most other boot camps you may get to be put through your paces by ex members of the military, taught a few things that they learnt during their time there. But if you really want to lose weight, if you really want to get fit, if picking up the world’s best and unsurpassed exercise tips is what you fancy, at Mind Body Boot Camp you’ll train with the man whose knowledge of weight loss and fitness-building techniques from all around the world is so extensive that he taught the teachers.
What do we do?
We provide our guests with a fun workout and a bit of a getaway to a fabulous part of the UK countryside.
Our weeks are structured around stimulating military-based group exercises outdoors: things such as the Brazilian Crop Circle Hop, or the Moroccan Military Leg Push, and other such exercises with exotic-sounding origins. Most of them get you working together with a partner or a team, and all of it is totally accessible to all levels of fitness and experience.
But Chris also includes activities which are based on martial arts training, so you’ll be taught some of the secret tips he picked up on his travels, including some stuff you may have seen in his BBC TV shows.
In contrast to all this external activity and energetic movement for the body, we help you develop a stillness and easy state of calm inside. That’s where the Mind part comes in.
You see, we have a bit more of a holistic approach to our training. Holistic doesn’t mean easy, it just means that during your retreat we help refocus your whole(istic) attitude towards your fitness and to stresses which may otherwise impact your health, and for this we use a few other more gentle techniques besides running. We introduce yoga, for example, for suppleness. And Tai Chi, for inner calm. The introduction of these will not only help you calm your mind and your body, they’ll speed up recovery rates, recharge you and help you stay injury-free.
It’s a week of movement and stillness, of exertion and relaxation, of team effort and personal gain. And it’s guided by Chris Crudelli and his hard-earned knowledge from decades spent perfecting these exercises and techniques in the Far East.
