Mobile technology transforms corporate travel

A report publishedbyAmadeus and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has detailedthe rising importance of mobile technology for business travellers. The joint report,entitled Upwardly Mobile, surveyed 72 travel managers and gatheredopinions from global technology experts.
Security emerged as the major benefit of mobile technology for corporatetravellers. 100% of the respondents agreed that ‘tracking and communication oftravellers for security purposes’ was a major benefit of mobile technology. Meanwhile98% of respondents saw value in the technology’s ability to provide them with instantnews and security alerts. Other highly rated features included GPS directions (92%of respondents) and the ability to change travel reservations (88%).
