Moeckling named GM of Fairmont Dubai

Michael Moecking has been appointed general manager of the Fairmont Dubai.Moecking is a graduate of the Steigenberger Hotelschool, in Bad Reichenhall, Germany. He replaces Philip M. Barnes, who held this position since 2009.Moeckling’s responsibilities will include overseeing the performance and day-to-day operations of the Fairmont Dubai, the 394 room property which was recently refurbished as a part of an Dhs35m renovation programme, as well as an award winning food and beverage portfolio, and dedicated function and meeting space.Moecking brings a wealth of experience to this position with a career spanning over 25 years in five continents, and has held progressive positions with leading hospitality companies including Kempinski Hotels, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, and Swiss
