More Aussies choosing volunteer breaks

G.A.P Adventures, the world’s largest adventure travel company, has announced a 56% annual rise in the number of Australian travellers heading overseas to make a difference.
The trend was most noticeable in travellers under the age of 28, indicating that young Aussies are looking beyond the well worn tourist trails and, to make a positive difference through their travels. Popular ‘voluntourism’ destinations include India, South Africa and Peru, the company said.
