More baggage allowance from Lufthansa

Lufthansa passengers travelling from India to Europe will now have more free baggage allowance in all classes with new rules applying to all tickets purchased on or after 1 June 2011. The airline said it is simplifying its free baggage allowance policy, adopting the piece concept on all its flights globally.In economy class, passengers can check-in one item of baggage weighing up to 23kg (previously any number of items weighing a total of 20kg). In business class passengers will be allowed two bags weighing up to 32kg each (previously any number weighing a total of 30kg), while first class passengers will be allowed three bags weighing up to 32kg each (previously any number weighing a total of 40kg).
