European budget design hotel chain Motel One has released its business report for the third quarter of 2015, a period which included the opening of the first Motel One in Amsterdam, growth to more than 20,000 rooms and after tax profit of EUR 60 million.

Revenue grew by 28% to EUR235 million during the period, EBITDA grew by 22% to EUR 74 million, occupancy levels increased to 75% (previous year 74%) and after-tax profits reached EUR 60 million (previous year EUR 29 million)
As of 30 September, Motel One had 51 hotels with 13,887 rooms in operation across Europe. Following the opening of the Amsterdam property, the number of hotels operating outside Germany has reached 13 (previous year seven) with 3,944 rooms.
The development pipeline for Motel One comprises of 20 hotels with 6,328 rooms with contractual security to grow to 71 hotels with 20,215 rooms. Four further locations have been secured in Germany including Munich, Cologne, Lübeck and Aachen. Two further international locations have also been secured in Paris and a second hotel in Amsterdam.
