MSC Cruises has added the United Arab Emirates as a new destination for its 2011-12 winter collection. MSC Lirica will be based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai throughout the season, operating seven-night cruises to Muscat, Al Fujairah and Bahrain. “MSC Cruises is experiencing an unprecedented growth in the UK and Irish markets at present and we welcome the expansion of being able to offer more choice to our passengers by cruising to the United Arab Emirates,” said MSC Cruises UK and Ireland Managing Director Giulio Libutti. “We see this as an exciting cruise destination and predict a high demand of sales.” The ship will depart from Genoa, Italy for its 16-night maiden voyage to Abu Dhabi on 14 October 2011, when it will visit Naples, Port Said, Jordan, Oman and UAE.
