Dubai-based real estate giant, Nakheel, has moved to dispel rumours that work on its Palm Deira Island had come to a halt, Gulf News has reported. Nakheel stated that the project was on track, with reclamation of the land expected to be completed by 2014.
“There are talks in the market that things have stopped but we are here to say we are still working,” said Dubai World Chairman, Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem.
On completion the Deira project will reportedly be seven and half times larger than the Palm Jumeirah.
