Nepal signs US$3 billion Chinese deal to develop Lumbin

China said it had signed a US$3 billion deal with Nepal’s Tourism Ministry to develop Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha. This would include constructing an airport, roads, hotels and other facilities in the southern region, adjoining India, PTI reported.The Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yang Houlan, was quoted saying that a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed with Tourism Minister Khagda Bahadur.
