Air charter services provider Deccan Charters, Taj Air and Business Jets India jointly launched a new on-demand charter service called Powerfly on Tuesday.
According to PTI, Powerfly will commence operations from 14 February and accept bookings with immediate effect.
“We believe the air charter service industry in India has immense potential.
While Taj Air, Deccan Charters and BJETS all have their individual strengths and strongholds in the business, this collaboration will bring together a new force that will catalyse the sector,” said Tata Sons Director and Vice-Chairman of Indian Hotels Company, R K Krishna Kumar.
With the buoyancy in air passenger traffic and a marketing alliance with Deccan and BJETS, Taj Air expects to return to profitability in the next fiscal, Kumar said.
