New Concept develops in India’s hotel industry

Concept Hospitality, a leading hotel management company in India, has launched a new premium hotel brand – Grazia. Under the new label Concept will develop three sub-brands – Grazia Grand, Grazia Prestige and Grazia Select, representing the luxury, mid-market and economy segments of the industry, Anil Mathur reports from India. These new options will be added to Concepts existing brands; luxury O Hotel, Seasons Serviced Apartments, Wall Street small business hotels, and Rodas boutique hotels.
In a related move, to hasten development and future growth, Concept Hospitality has merged with Beacon Hotels.
Beacon currently has three hotels in Goa, Mumbai and Bengaluru, while Concept manages properties in major cities including New Delhi, Jalandhar, Pune, Kerala and Kolkata, among other places. It has an inventory of 667 rooms, which will rise to 1,303 rooms in the next three years, with 16 new projects in the pipeline.
The merged company will be headed by Paran Kannampilly as Executive Chairman and Manoj Bhatia as Managing Director. Pushpinder Kumar will continue as Chief Executive Officer, while Sarosh Khatib will head-up the sales force.
