New HKTB Director sets priorities on first day

First on the agenda was meeting withmanagement members to discuss strategies and plans for the year ahead, then MrLau was set for more meetings with travel-trade partners in the coming month toestablish further understanding about Hong Kong’s tourism industry.
Commenting on his first day on thejob, Mr Lau said, “Being born and raised in Hong Kong,I’m most thrilled to take part in promoting the tourism industry of my veryhome. I look forward to meeting all the staffs and getting accustomed to thenew environment soon. At the moment, my top priorities include seeking advice from theGovernment and travel-trade, and formulating business plan and budget for thenext financial year with the HKTB’s management team.”
The Hon James Tien, Chairman of theHKTB, said, “I warmly welcome Anthony joining HKTB as the new ExecutiveDirector. I am confident that with his extensive expertise in marketing andmanagement, Mr Lau will lead the organisation to work closely with travel-tradepartners in promoting Hong Kong’s tourismindustry.”
