Japanese carrier Skymark Airlines is to launch a direct flight from Tokyo to London. Following its purchase of three new Airbus A380s last week, the airline will use the superjumbos to launch flights between Tokyo and London. Skymark’s A380s, which will be delivered in 2014, will be fitted with just 394 seats, 114 of which will be in business class. Skymark will compete on the London-Tokyo route with British Airways, ANA, Virgin Atlantic and JAL, while Air France and Lufthansa also offer A380 services between Tokyo and Europe.
