New road opens linking HCMC to coast

A road connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Vietnamese coastal district of Can Gio has officially opened to traffic. Thanh Nien News reported that the 36km, six-lane Rung Sac-Can Gio Roadway cost VND1.56 trillion (US$80 million) to build. Previously traffic between the two hubs was predominately via ferry.
