Vietnamese, Cambodia, Laotian and Filipino nationals will soon be able to claim visas on arrival in India after the government agreed to relax entry procedures for the fours ASEAN members. The new procedures are a product of India’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ASEAN which seeks to develop tourism between the region’s developing nations. According to the Financial Times India, the new procedures will take effect from 1 January 2011.
