Newmarket Holidays upgrades website to drive agent interest

Newmarket Holidays has launched a new website showcasing a range of new benefits for ABTA-bonded travel agents. The new platform uses the structure of the customer site to provide agents easy access to the latest holidays and availability, and allows agents to make commissionable bookings online. “More than 25 percent of all our customers now book online, with many more using our site to research their ideal holiday,” explained Newmarket’s marketing director, Phil O’Sullivan. “But there was a feeling that we were not able to get across the full depth and breadth of our product range on our existing homepage.” Newmarket sales director Adrian Barry added that the enhanced system was a positive step forward for agency sales - a growing area of the business. “Travel Agency sales are up 53 percent on previous years, with increased interest around the Newmarket Holidays brand - particularly our regional charter air holidays,” he added. “We already offer Travel Agents a dedicated sales and support team, and their own fully transactional website, but the improved accessibility directly from our homepage is a big plus for travel agents who are keen to make a booking when their customer is at the point of purchase.”
