A type of unsaturated fat, it will no longer be used for cooking purposes in any Taj Hotel.
Commenting on this initiative, Raymond Bickson, Managing Director and CEO, Indian Hotels Company Limited, said, “While we set high benchmarks for outstanding culinary experiences at all our hotels, we also consider the wellbeing of our guests as a top priority. The removal of ‘Trans fats’ from all cooking processes at the Taj will allow us to offer guests a healthier choice in food and beverages.”
Trans fats are a major factor in elevating the risk of coronary heart diseases.
