Workers in Japan received an unexpected shock on Thursday, when a nuclear missile attack alarm sounded in government offices in Nagoya.
“This is information about a ballistic missile attack. This area is being targeted for attack,” the alert warned. Red lights flashed as the message was broadcast to 20 government offices in Aichi prefecture.
Officials later apologised for the incident, saying they were testing the system and didn’t realise the volume was turned up.
