Oakwood to branch out in India

Serviced apartment leader, Oakwood Worldwide, has announced plans to broaden its portfolio in India. Ten new properties are expected to rise in key cities across the country by 2010, starting with the newly opened five-star Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore. In addition, Oakwood plans to add launch operations in Mumbai and Pune, and future plans including properties in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kerala and New Delhi.
Speaking of the newly opened Bangalore (Bengaluru) serviced apartments, Oakwood Asia Pacific’s Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Frank Foster, said that the property was designed for the “upscale international traveller”.
